They represent the mission of Arms Stretched Wide by creating a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment where participants can gain knowledge, skills, and confidence to support themselves and others.
Community Marketing & Outreach Volunteer

The Marketing & Community Outreach Volunteer supports the nonprofit’s efforts to raise awareness, promote programs, and engage the community. This role assists with marketing activities such as promoting events, sharing organizational updates, and helping create materials that communicate the nonprofit’s mission and impact.
Peer Voice

The Peer Voice Volunteer brings valuable personal insight to Arms Stretched Wide trainings by sharing their journey with mental health challenges, illness, or relational difficulties. Through storytelling and participation in trainings, this volunteer helps participants better understand the realities of mental health and relational struggles while offering hope, encouragement, and practical perspective on healing and resilience. Their voice helps reduce stigma, increase empathy, and create deeper connection during learning experiences.
Fundraising Event

The Fundraising Event Volunteer supports the planning and execution of nonprofit fundraising events. This role helps create a welcoming environment for guests, assists with event logistics, and contributes to the organizations efforts to raise funds and awareness for our mission.
Social Media & Digital Creations Volunteer

The Social Media & Digital Communications Volunteer helps support the nonprofit’s outreach and communication efforts by assisting with social media content, flyers, and website updates. This role helps the organization share its mission, promote events, and keep the community informed through clear and engaging digital content.
Hospitality
Volunteer
Position Overview
The Hospitality Volunteer supports the successful delivery of local and rural trainings by helping create a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment for participants. Hospitality Volunteers may include trained volunteers from the community who have completed ASW trainings and are committed to supporting the learning experience for others. Hospitality Volunteers also help with resource fairs and other outreach opportunities.
